Last weekend I purchased a Eagle Creek Explorer LT.
I get a really good feeling about this backpack. After I test it out some more, I'll give you my full review. All these straps and cushion makes it feel like I barely have anything on my back.

I have a palm LifeDrive which is capable of bluetooth and wifi along with a slow 4GB harddrive. Cool thing is I like that it can take full sized SD cards its a fairly good sized PDA which isn't exactly a problem, and I can live with it really.

My only problem is A) to use the GPS I require an external GPS receiver and when I got it, it was meant to be used in the car so I didn't have to carry the receiver around all the time. Drawback is the receiver can't be in your pocket for it to work decently well enough necessarily.

yeah its got a 4GB HDD, shows nice pics and the SD slot is cool but its slow in general including the wifi! (although it has 802.11b which should be fairly fast for internet). I'm going to sell this and get something else.

I looked into the ipod touch and it doesn't even have a built in GPS though it has great features for photos, google maps but its useless when you need to know on the spot where you're going oh and it doesn't have bluetooth (the iphone DOES though)

So I'm curious to what you all are using for navigation and PDA combined I'd rather minimize how many electronics I'm carrying around for obvious reasons AND I'd like to be able to use the GPS via the laptop for route planning when I'm stationery or in the car

I already have a TomTom GPS... its not made for handheld use although it can be managed to do it that way a bit bulkier than my current lifeDrive.

This reviewer liked it, but I'm not sure if it would even be worth lugging around. I guess it depends on the length of your flight...

Whenever I see things like this, I always think: If this is so comfortable, why don't they just design the seats like that?

This is the most hardcore travel gadget ever:

It's waterproof, it's smash-proof, it's pretty amazing. You never know when you might need it, and it's only $11 or so.

List of contents:non-aspirin pain reliever, adhesive bandage, alcohol prep pad, antibiotic ointment, book of matches, compass, chewing gum, sugar, salt, energy nugget, duct tape, fire starter cube, first aid instructions, fish hook & line, note paper, pencil, razor blade, safety pin, reflective signal surface, tea bag, waterproof bag, whistle, and wire clip.

What kind of socks are your favourite?

Which are the best for wicking moisture and preventing blisters?

My personal favourite is SmartWool, anybody else have some? They're awesome, it's like an explosion of goodness for my feet, every time I put them on.
